Sales Manager – Ophthalmology & Optometry

📍 Scotland

We are partnering with a leading global ophthalmic technology company to appoint a Sales Manager responsible for driving growth across Scotland.

This is an opportunity to join an established organisation providing advanced medical devices and digital solutions across ophthalmology and optometry, working with NHS and private healthcare customers.

The Role

You will take ownership of the Scottish territory, responsible for developing existing accounts and identifying new commercial opportunities.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing a regional sales strategy to grow revenue and market share
  • Managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting through to negotiation and close
  • Building relationships with clinicians, practice owners, procurement teams and key decision-makers
  • Delivering product demonstrations and consultative, solution-led presentations
  • Developing strategic NHS and private-sector accounts
  • Working alongside clinical, marketing, product and technical teams
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and developments across UK eye care

The Ideal Profile

We are interested in speaking with commercially successful sales professionals with:

  • 5+ years' experience within medical devices, diagnostics or healthcare technology
  • A proven track record of territory growth and new business development
  • Experience selling complex equipment or solutions into healthcare environments
  • Knowledge of ophthalmology or optometry would be highly advantageous
  • Alternatively, experience within diagnostic imaging or healthcare software would be considered
  • Experience navigating NHS and/or private healthcare procurement
  • Strong presentation, demonstration and relationship-building skills
