Job Title: Sales Manager – Events Venue

Salary: £45,000

Location: London

I am working with a leading premium events and catering business who are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Sales Manager to join their team. As Sales Manager, you will lead the sales function for a prestigious London events venue, managing a team of Sales Executives and driving revenue across conferences, exhibitions and corporate events.

Main duties:

  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing sales team, setting clear KPIs and ensuring ambitious revenue targets are achieved.
  • Drive proactive sales activity and develop new business opportunities through partnerships, networking, market engagement and client outreach.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, agencies, venue teams and key stakeholders, acting as a trusted commercial partner.
  • Manage the full sales process from enquiry through to conversion, including creating bespoke proposals, managing follow-ups and maximising opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
  • Monitor sales performance, pipeline health, forecasting and conversion metrics, identifying opportunities to improve processes and increase revenue.
  • Work closely with the wider sales and operational teams to deliver an exceptional client experience, maintain strong venue relationships and maximise commercial opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Sales Manager or senior sales role within the events, hospitality, catering or venue industry.
  • Proven experience managing, coaching and motivating a sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Must have conference experience.
  • Strong commercial and business development skills, with a track record of generating and converting new business.
  • Excellent relationship management, communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to build relationships with senior clients and stakeholders.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the conference, exhibition and corporate events market, with a proactive and target-driven approach.
