We are pleased to be working with a market leader in the manufacturing sector. Due to an internal promotion, they are actively seeking a new Sales Manager.
The Role
The purpose of this role is to manage the sales office (one direct report - Export Sales Administrator) and to look after the sale of our clients' products in the UK and several European countries through official agents, distributors, and direct sales.
The role is to maintain existing business and look for areas of growth. The role would require the candidate to be very much hands-on, working closely with both production and technical departments.
When required, the role would also be required to cover the Export Sales Administrator to cover holidays, sickness, and when we are very busy. This role requires the issuing of Invoices and Export Paperwork.
The Sales Manager job covers the UK, Spain, Portugal, Germany, France, Switzerland, Hungary, Scandinavia, and Egypt. Customers receive on average at least one visit per year. The candidate would be the main contact for these areas, responsible for the negotiation of pricing, payment terms, delivery terms, etc.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
