The Taste, Nutrition & Health segment leverages its expertise and scientific research to offer clients and partners unique, sustainable solutions based on natural ingredients in the fields of taste, nutrition, and health. With over 100 sites in more than 40 countries, the segment serves the food and beverage industry as well as pet food and aquaculture manufacturers. It is structured into two divisions—Food & Beverage and Pet Food—and two Business Units: Aqua Feed and Probi.
The Pet Food division provides product solutions and services to enhance palatability and acceptance of pet food, ensure pet food safety, and support animal health. To study food acceptance, feeding behavior, and pet-owner interactions, the division operates four expert centers with approximately 1,000 owned dogs and cats. Following the principle "the closer, the better," Symrise Pet Food, within the Taste, Nutrition & Health segment, serves its customers from more than 30 sites worldwide.
Your Role
As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for a Sales Manager Benelux & Northern Europe to lead commercial activities within the designated EMEA zone.
Main Responsibilities
- Implement the company's commercial strategy (pricing policy, product portfolio evolution).
- Creatively translate market opportunities, experience, and capabilities into business.
- Identify leads and opportunities based on our strategy and strengths.
- Identify, in the early stages of the sale, the customer's buying intent and success factors.
- Collaborate with the sales team and internal stakeholders to cultivate and develop a strong professional relationship with your customers key opinion leaders and institutions.
- Translate Division business objectives, market information, and analysis into specific, measurable, and executable action sales plans.
- Prioritize and manage accounts within the area.
- Provide exceptional service to all clients to support their growth and business development.
- Appropriately deploy all resources at your disposal, including marketing materials, internal services, conferences, and cross-functional collaboration to support your development.
- Continually track, monitor, and report on sale performance and progress.
- Identify, follow, and report to EMEA Regional Team all relevant information of your competitors (positioning, pricing, capabilities, and strategy).
- Define and manage the budget, rolling forecast (volume, turnover, and profitability) for your area and achieve the sales goals and targets.
- Monitor and control sales execution: after-sales service, administrative, and financial aspects (overdues).
- Customer intimacy: work with the different internal stakeholders, understand their business strategy (short, medium, and long-term).

Experience & Key Skills
- Minimum 5 years of international business development experience in sales in B2B. Agri-food markets are essential (pet food, feed, or food).
- Strong knowledge of Benelux and Northern European markets, including regulatory and cultural aspects.
- Expertise in commercial strategies: pricing, product portfolio management, sales network animation.
- Proven experience in prospecting, market analysis (qualitative and quantitative), and key account management.
- Ability to define and manage a commercial offer in collaboration with marketing, R&D, and product teams.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (regular updates of client/prospect databases) and reporting (sales forecasts, commercial reports).
- Accuracy in administrative and financial sales follow-up (after-sales service, overdues, credit notes).
- Ability to organize optimized commercial tours and manage expenses within the defined framework.
