We are the internal recruitment partner for our client, a well-respected provider of commercial catering equipment solutions, supporting businesses across both the public and private sectors.
Are you a commercially driven sales professional with experience in commercial kitchen equipment? Kent Catering Services is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to develop new business, manage existing customer relationships, and drive sales across our growing business.
As Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for selling commercial catering equipment, maintenance, service, and repair solutions, while providing customers with expert advice and ensuring a consistently high standard of service.
You'll work closely with customers, suppliers, and the internal service team to identify opportunities, develop relationships, prepare quotations and tenders, and support customers throughout the sales and after-sales process.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new business opportunities across the commercial catering equipment market
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
- Sell commercial kitchen equipment, maintenance, service, and repair solutions
- Identify sales opportunities across hotels, hospitals, care homes, educational facilities, and private customers
- Prepare sales tenders, quotations, and proposals based on customer requirements
- Advise customers on commercial kitchen equipment, plans, requirements, and design needs
- Analyse market demand and trends to identify opportunities and support sales strategies
- Work closely with the service team to coordinate after-sales support and equipment repairs
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with equipment suppliers and brands
- Proactively prospect for new business through cold calling, meetings, and other sales activity

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Proven sales experience within commercial catering, kitchen, laundry, or associated equipment
- Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment, including built-in and free-standing appliances
- Excellent customer relationship and business development skills
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify and develop new sales opportunities
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
- Experience preparing quotations, tenders, and sales proposals
- Ability to understand customer requirements and provide appropriate equipment and design solutions
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to sales and business development
- Live within a commutable distance to the site in Sheerness

In return we are offering:
- Competitive salary with a bonus/commission scheme based on sales and margins
- 4% attendance bonus paid every two months.
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (1-hour unpaid break)
- 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
- Pension: 5% employer contribution
- Gym membership contribution (~£30 per month, no restrictions)
