The Company

We are a genuine market leader in the provision of bakery products to convenience retail/forecourts and Foodservice sectors. Over the last 30 years we have demonstrated rapid growth to enable us to provide full UK coverage to all areas of both market sectors.

We provide bakery solutions including bread, patisserie, breakfast products and speciality bakery products. Our comprehensive range enables us to provide a one stop solution to cover all areas of our customer’s requirements regarding bakery and food to go products.

Due to sustained growth we are seeking to add further personnel to our dynamic, successful sales team throughout the UK to manage our key Convenience retail and forecourt channel. We pride ourselves on having all of the benefits of a corporate employer combined with a family company feel to our value of all of our employees. The Role

This is a unique and exciting position that offers so much more than a traditional National Account Manager role. You will be fully responsible for strategy to develop sales within our convenience retails and forecourt sectors. The role is exciting and varied and includes full account management responsibility for our major customers in this area including the leading convenience retailers and major national forecourt chains. In addition to this, you will lead the strategy within the sector by developing effective internal relationships.

This will include, working closely with marketing and NPD to ensure that the product range is innovative, on point and mirrors current and future trends within the sector. You will also be responsible for ensuring that promotions and initiatives with your sector are implemented on a regional basis via the field sales teams. This role presents and excellent opportunity for a Convenience retail and forecourt specialist to make a significant impact within an established market leader.

The Applicant

We are seeking an experienced National Account Manager, Senior National Account Manager or Sales Controller with a proven track record of managing major convenience retail and/or forecourt accounts at head-office level.

You will have experience developing relationships with buyers, category managers and senior commercial stakeholders, with responsibility for commercial negotiations, pricing, range listings, promotions, product launches and account-growth strategy.

Experience within bakery or food-to-go would be particularly relevant, although candidates selling other food and drink categories, including coffee, snacks, confectionery, chilled or prepared foods will also be considered.

Previous people-management experience would be advantageous but is not essential. The position could suit either an established Controller capable of managing a wider field sales team or a successful Senior National Account Manager ready to take on broader channel responsibility.

Candidates should be commercially astute, structured and hands-on, with the adaptability to succeed within a changing, fast-paced environment.
