Your role
What you'll be doing
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Sales Manager within our Corporate Payments division. This position falls under our Corpay Complete line of business and is located in Knaresborough, UK. In this role, you will take a player-manager approach, combining your own new business responsibilities with the leadership, coaching and development of our UK corporate cards sales team. You will be responsible for driving revenue for Corpay Complete while helping to build and scale a high-performing sales function within the UK payments market. As a relatively new entrant to the UK Accounts Payable space, this is an exciting opportunity to join Corpay Complete at the start of a significant growth phase. You will play a key role in building our market presence, delivering against ambitious revenue targets and establishing a strong, consistent sales culture.
The successful candidate will manage and coach a team of Business Development Managers, while maintaining their own portfolio of prospects and actively contributing to new business generation. You will lead from the front, supporting your team through prospecting, qualification, pipeline management, commercial conversations and closing, while also owning your individual sales targets.
You will report directly to the Head of Sales and work closely with Sales, Marketing and Product teams to drive pipeline generation, optimise sales execution and identify opportunities for continued growth.
How We Work
As a sales manager you will be expected to be primarily office based. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:
- Assigned workspace in Knaresborough.

Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include:
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of Business Development Managers.
- Owning and delivering against your own individual new business and revenue targets.
- Taking a hands-on role in prospecting, client engagement and closing opportunities.
- Driving sales performance through regular coaching, 1:1s, pipeline reviews and performance management.
- Developing and embedding effective sales processes, methodologies and best practices.
- Supporting the team on complex or strategic opportunities, acting as a senior commercial voice throughout the sales cycle.
- Building strong relationships with senior decision-makers across the UK mid-market and enterprise landscape.
- Partnering with Sales, Marketing and Product to maximise pipeline generation and conversion.
- Helping establish Corpay Complete as a leading player within the UK Accounts Payable and SaaS market.
- Contributing to the continued growth and evolution of the UK sales organisation.

Qualifications & Skills
- 5-7 years of B2B payment / Commercial card / B2B financial sector, with at least a year in a player-manager role or coaching sales professionals.
- Proven success selling payments solutions, or related finance technologies.
- Experience working in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments, with the ability to adapt to changing business priorities and customer needs. Preference for individuals from a matrix environment who have supported cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team while also supporting closing complex deals.
- Strong understanding of payment processes, finance operations, and value drivers for CFO and Controller personas.
- Skilled in forecasting, pipeline management, and building structured sales methodologies.
- Ability to coach and develop team members, driving consistent sales performance and supporting career growth.
