Why be a Sales Manager | ESPA - UK at THG Beauty?

As the Sales Manager you will be the key lead for ESPA retail accounts within the UK. Managing omni-channel partnerships including Off-Price, opening new business, and growing existing accounts resulting in sustainable, profitable growth.

You will manage a team of up to two direct reports and you report to Head of Sales Multi Brand EMEA/ UK. The role is based in the THG Manchester office 5 days per week, with some travel within the UK to partner meetings, trade shows, and retail store visits.

As Sales Manager | ESPA - UK, you’ll:

  • Work alongside the Head of Sales and Global Sales Director to create and implement the UK sales strategy, driving sustainable and profitable growth in line with the three-year business plan.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key retail partners to support profitable sales growth.
  • Develop and implement Joint Business Plans (JBPs), collaborating cross-functionally with Brand, PR, Social, Education, Demand Planning, Supply Operations, Finance, Credit Control, and the ESPA Spa team to ensure partner success.
  • Manage UK stock planning, demand forecasting, and sales forecasting, approving product assortments for each partner based on SKU performance, market trends, brand campaigns, and omni-channel trading.
  • Collaborate with the Brand Marketing team to deliver a consistent 360° omni-channel customer experience through marketing assets, point-of-sale materials, and visual merchandising plans.
  • Analyse partner performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and monitor competitor activity to drive best practice.
  • Tailor commercial initiatives to meet the specific needs of each retail partner.
  • Work closely with retail partners and the warehouse team on special projects, including exclusive in-house bundled product offerings.
  • Report monthly partner activity, including newsletters, sampling, promotional initiatives, and online placement, providing regular updates in weekly brand meetings against quarterly objectives.
  • Identify new commercial opportunities outside existing retail partnerships, including off-price channels and paid sampling programmes.
  • Lead seasonal strategy meetings, presenting new product launches and securing partner buy-in ahead of launch.
  • Produce quarterly sales forecasts, maintaining a forward-looking approach to business planning.
  • Take ownership of P&L performance, tracking free-of-charge samples and returns to vendor (RTV) for monthly budget reviews.
  • Manage the end-to-end new product set-up process, including writing product copy and updating online content for retail partners using relevant keywords and market trends.
  • Review, negotiate, and renew commercial agreements, as well as onboard new retail partners in line with company guidelines.
  • Mentor and support junior team members where appropriate.

What skills and experience do I need for this role?

  • Proven experience driving both sell-in and sell-through performance.
  • Strong B2B sales experience with a track record of delivering against commercial targets.
  • Commercially minded, results-driven, and entrepreneurial, with a passion for growing a business.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing a small team.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • A creative thinker with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Highly analytical and confident working with data, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrable experience negotiating commercial agreements, from prospecting through to onboarding, while working collaboratively across multiple business functions.
