The Role
We're looking for a commercially focused Regional Sales Manager to drive profitable growth across key mining and industrial markets throughout the UK, Spain, Portugal and Poland.
This is a high-impact, customer-facing role responsible for identifying opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships and generating new business across a broad portfolio of engineered products and solutions. While mining represents approximately 70% of the territory focus, the role also supports industrial and metals customers, creating a varied and dynamic commercial environment.
You'll be responsible for opening doors with key stakeholders, identifying opportunities and positioning the wider Baker Hughes, Chart and Howden solutions portfolio. Working closely with product specialists and technical experts, you'll help develop customer requirements into engineered solutions before supporting the sales process through to a successful commercial outcome.
Expect to spend approximately 40-50% of your time travelling across the region, meeting customers, supporting commercial opportunities, attending trade shows and working alongside technical specialists in the field.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional who enjoys autonomy, building customer relationships and operating across multiple markets and industries.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
