The Opportunity
The Sales Manager role is a core member of the Sales organization and is responsible for identification, qualification, and development of new business opportunities within the European region. The key focus of this role will be the development and execution of strategic programs, strategy, and B2B partnerships within the Unmanned Systems market vertical for DTC wireless datalink technology. The ideal candidate will be located in Western or Central Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Identification and qualification of strategic new business opportunities.
- Ensuring a clear understanding of customer & user requirements, market needs, trends, and win strategies throughout the region.
- Building senior level relationships and strategic partnerships with customers, users, prime contractors, and distributors.
- Determining in conjunction with the marketing team, the actions required to maintain and increase market presence.
- Ensuring that an effective capture planning process for major campaigns is in place.
- Ensuring the implementation of appropriate pricing strategies to ensure successful bid development and management.
- Set and maintain a standard for professional, well-written proposals promoting clear USPs and win themes.
- Provide senior level support to the International Sales Account Managers as required to facilitate the successful capture of business opportunities.
- Management of Sales Force CRM and report generation.
- Participate in weekly sales meetings to align personal and team goals.

What We Are Looking For
- Previous Experience in Sales or Business Development roles within the Unmanned systems area.
- Background in Tactical Communications, Unmanned Systems, or other RF technology areas.
- Excellent Knowledge of the European Military Programs and Business landscape; including Unmanned Systems ecosystem.
- A proven communicator with a good level of technical, commercial, and financial awareness.
- Ability to tailor style to each circumstance.
- A ‘self-starter’ with the ability to operate on own initiative without frequent close supervision.
- Educational qualifications required will vary depending upon career path, experience, and technical skills.
- Experience with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce.
- Strong understanding of sales lifecycle and where opportunities may be present.
- Excellent knowledge of communications technology.
- Experience of capture management methodologies.
- Proficient in German.
- Willing to travel.
