Sales Manager
We are looking for an ambitious Sales Manager with sign industry experience to join our creative team at Signs Express (Exeter & Plymouth) and play a pivotal role as we look at our next phase of business growth across both areas.
As Sales Manager, our ideal candidate will create an ambitious sales strategy and help grow the business alongside the Centre Owners. You will proactively target local and national businesses within the territory and will be required to successfully create leads and build new client relationships.
- Location: Signs Express (Exeter & Plymouth), 11 Newcourt Barton Farm, Clyst Rd, Topsham, Exeter EX3 0DB
- Salary: Dependent on experience
- Working Hours: Full-time position, Monday-Friday
- Travel: A full, clean driving licence and own transport is essential for local travel between Exeter & Plymouth

About The Role
Working across various industry sectors including professional services, construction, transportation, creative agencies, and industrial, you will be an excellent communicator, managing the front end of the sales cycle and be a key face in the business. You will be expected to use all outbound sales channels to nurture existing business and drive new business opportunities.

Duties Include
- The ability to engage and build client relationships, generate leads, and deliver sales targets across both Exeter & Plymouth.
- The ability to develop and deliver a strategic sales plan in line with business objectives to expand and grow the customer base.
- An understanding of the territory dynamics, customer base, and client needs in the local and surrounding areas.
- The ability to interact in a professional and friendly manner with clients whilst striving to exceed their expectations.
- Be able to work with local and national businesses across various industry sectors to deliver bespoke, quality signage solutions with outstanding customer service.
- To engage with customers on a 1-2-1 basis when on-site for consultations, site surveys, and project review meetings.
- Processing and issuing some quotes via our quotation system as well as supporting the sales process including quote follow-ups and routine customer contacts including requesting Google reviews.
- To support the Centre Owners in the day-to-day running of the business as required.
- A minimum two year’s sales experience and experience within the signage industry is desirable.
- Be motivated with excellent communication skills and leadership qualities.
- Flexibility to work outside of the core hours to meet project deadlines as and when required.
