The Sales Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Sunderland. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to grow B2B accounts across industrial, packaging, timber, and recycling sectors.

Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Prospecting new clients
  • Managing existing customer relationships
  • Conducting sales meetings and site visits
  • Preparing accurate quotations and proposals

The role involves:

  • Monitoring market trends
  • Maintaining product and industry knowledge
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure reliable supply and high customer satisfaction

Additionally, the Sales Manager will:

  • Track sales performance
  • Maintain CRM records
  • Report regularly on sales activities and results to leadership

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in B2B sales, ideally within industrial, packaging, or related sectors.
  • Strong skills in account management, customer relationship building, and negotiation.
  • Ability to develop and implement sales strategies, including prospecting, pipeline management, and closing deals.
  • Solid communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at different levels.
  • Comfort with using CRM systems, basic data analysis, and sales reporting tools.
  • Proactive, self-motivated approach with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work on-site in Sunderland and travel to customer locations as required.
  • Previous experience in the UK industrial or packaging market is highly beneficial.
  • Relevant education in business, sales, or a related field is an advantage, though equivalent experience is also valued.
