The Role
Sales Manager
The Sales Manager's position will be covering a nationally located client base within the construction sector but with a real focus on the 'East Midlands' and 'East Anglia' regions. You will be home-based but have regular visits to head office in Richmond, Surrey, to build strong internal relationships with the business. The Sales Manager will be selling a concrete reinforcement solution used in any construction projects that require it throughout the UK. Your main client base will be Main & Sub-Contractors using concrete within their building projects and a good number of your leads will be from inbound sources (around 250-300 come into the business per week!). The Sales Manager will join a team who are all working to shared goals and targets and support each other. This is a fast-paced sales role with an ever-evolving market and the opportunity for the construction sector to take off in 2027 means a potentially very lucrative year.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
