Role Overview

As Sales Manager, you will play a key role in expanding NOV Fiber Glass Systems' presence across the United Kingdom by delivering profitable growth through new business development and strategic account management. You will identify opportunities across sectors including chemical processing, water treatment, power generation, mining, pharmaceuticals, renewables, energy transition, data centres, and general industrial infrastructure.

Working closely with engineering, estimating, operations, project management, logistics, and finance teams, you will transform customer requirements into commercially successful engineered solutions while ensuring an exceptional customer experience throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Drive profitable growth by securing new project opportunities across the UK chemical and industrial markets.
  • Develop and grow strategic customer relationships while identifying opportunities to expand existing accounts.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from opportunity identification and technical solution development through to contract award.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, estimating, and project teams to deliver commercially successful customer solutions.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, provide reliable forecasts, and monitor market trends to support business growth.
  • Represent NOV Fiber Glass Systems with customers, EPC contractors, consultants, and at industry events across the UK.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
  • Proven experience in technical B2B sales, business development, or account management within industrial or engineered product markets.
  • Demonstrated success in winning new business and developing strategic customer relationships.
  • Experience managing complex project-based sales opportunities with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to understand technical customer requirements and translate them into commercial solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout the United Kingdom, with occasional international travel.
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom.

Preferred

  • Experience within composite materials, FRP/GRP products, industrial piping systems, corrosion-resistant solutions, or related engineered products.
  • Experience selling into sectors such as chemical processing, water treatment, power generation, mining, pharmaceuticals, industrial manufacturing, renewables, or energy infrastructure.
  • Experience working with EPC contractors, consultants, or industrial end users.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and structured sales forecasting.
  • Knowledge of project tendering, contract negotiation, and specification-led selling.
