20Quant is a specialist financial research and advisory firm developing quantitative tools, investment research and advisory services for professional investors, financial advisers, family offices, and institutional clients.
Our work combines proprietary quantitative models, direct financial markets experience, academically grounded research, and digital tools designed to support more disciplined, transparent, and scalable decision-making processes.
We are entering a new phase of commercial growth and are looking for a highly business-development-oriented professional who can help expand our B2B channel in Europe while supporting our international growth across family offices and other professional investors.
The role
We are looking for a Sales Manager, Financial Services with experience selling financial products or services across advisory, investment research, wealth management, asset management, fintech, or related areas.
The successful candidate will play a central role in 20Quant’s commercial development, with a particular focus on:
- Developing the B2B market across Italian and international independent financial advisory firms
- Business development with family offices internationally
- Selling 20Quant advisory products and services
- Building, managing, and converting qualified sales pipelines
This role requires someone who is autonomous, credible with senior stakeholders, and comfortable managing complex commercial conversations within financial services.
Key responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Identifying and qualifying new commercial opportunities across independent financial advisory firms, independent advisers, family offices, and other professional client segments
- Building a prospect pipeline in Europe
- Managing outreach, follow-ups, product presentations, and commercial negotiations
- Organising and leading commercial meetings with prospective clients and partners
- Communicating the value of 20Quant’s products and services clearly, tailoring the message to different stakeholder profiles
- Supporting the development of commercial strategies across different segments, including advisory firms, family offices, wealth managers, and potential institutional partners
- Working closely with the internal team to align market feedback, commercial materials, pricing, and proposals
- Contributing to the development of sales processes, CRM discipline, commercial reporting, and forecasting
- Monitoring the market, identifying new opportunities, and gathering insights that can inform the evolution of the offering

Essential requirements
We are looking for someone with:
- At least 3 years of experience in sales or business development roles within financial services
- Experience selling relevant products or services, including financial advisory, investment research, asset management, wealth management, fintech, financial data analytics, or solutions for professional investors and advisers
- Strong knowledge of financial markets and key professional client segments
- Proven commercial development, prospecting, and pipeline management skills
- Excellent English, particularly spoken, with the ability to manage commercial discussions with international stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Credibility and professionalism when dealing with senior decision-makers
- A strong results orientation and disciplined approach to sales
- The ability to work independently, including in a remote environment
- Good familiarity with CRM platforms, sales outreach tools, and digital sales-enablement solutions
Preferred qualifications
The following would be considered an advantage:
- An established network among independent advisory firms, independent financial advisers, family offices, wealth managers, or financial boutiques
- Experience in international business development
- Familiarity with quantitative products, multi-asset research, risk management, or investment decision-support tools
- Knowledge of the Italian independent advisory market
- Experience building commercial partnerships and indirect distribution channels
- An interest in AI, sales automation, digital tools, and data-driven processes
- Experience in start-up, scale-up, or high-growth commercial environments

Ideal profile
The ideal candidate is commercially minded, structured, and pragmatic, with solid financial-services experience and a strong ability to open high-quality conversations.
We are looking for someone who can sell, but who can also listen to the market, identify patterns, build relationships, and contribute to the development of a scalable commercial strategy.
This is not a purely execution-focused role. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute actively to the growth of 20Quant’s B2B channel, bringing commercial discipline, initiative, and the ability to convert opportunities into a tangible pipeline.
Engagement structure and remuneration
The role will begin with an initial six-month trial period, during which remuneration will be commission-based and linked to sales generated and qualified business-development activity, particularly with international family offices.
Following a successful trial period, the remuneration package is expected to include:
- Base salary
- Sales commissions
- Performance-related bonuses linked to commercial targets
The final package will be defined based on the candidate’s experience, the strength of their network, results achieved, and the agreed scope of responsibility.
