Sales Manager - Fire Safety Systems

📍 South Wales (covering South Wales, Midlands & South West)
💷 £50,000 - £60,000 DOE

The Opportunity

A growing fire safety provider is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead and develop its sales function across South Wales, the Midlands, and the South West. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you'll lead a team of 2 Business Development Managers and 1 Internal Sales Executive while maintaining responsibility for key accounts and your own sales pipeline.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining sales management with business development, focused on driving revenue growth, improving sales performance, and developing a high-performing sales culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop the sales team
  • Set and monitor sales targets, KPIs and performance metrics
  • Conduct pipeline reviews, forecasting and performance meetings
  • Maintain and grow strategic customer relationships
  • Support high-value tenders, negotiations and complex sales opportunities
  • Identify new business opportunities and routes to market
  • Drive revenue growth across the full fire safety portfolio
  • Ensure CRM data, forecasting and reporting are accurate
  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure excellent customer delivery

Requirements

Essential

  • Proven sales leadership experience within the fire safety industry
  • Strong knowledge of active and passive fire protection solutions
  • Demonstrable experience developing and managing successful sales teams
  • Track record of delivering revenue growth and winning new business
  • Experience selling fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, suppression systems and service contracts
  • Strong commercial, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience managing pipelines, forecasts and CRM systems
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

  • Knowledge of passive fire protection, fire doors, dampers and AOVs
  • Experience with Ansul suppression systems
  • Experience within ISO9001, NSI Gold or BAFE-accredited environments
