Want to sell smart, sustainable technology that improves the buildings people work in, with the backing of a Nordic business that genuinely trusts its people?
My client is a well-established European manufacturer of intelligent lighting control systems. Their UK business is growing fast, and London is now the priority. They are hiring a Specification Sales Manager to own central London and get their solutions specified on the capital's most interesting commercial and residential projects.
The Role
- Build strong relationships with lighting designers, M&E consultants and architects so the product is specified from the earliest stage
- Work with electrical contractors, wholesalers, developers and tenants to take projects from specification through to order
- Manage existing customers while proactively finding new projects and decision makers across London
- Sell consultatively, positioning energy savings, sustainability and occupant wellbeing
- Protect specifications through tender and value engineering
- Run CPD seminars and attend industry events, with full marketing support
- Keep a disciplined, accurate pipeline in CRM and hit agreed sales and margin targets
- Spend around 80% of your time out with customers

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
