💻 Role
Reporting to the Head of Categories and Expansion (Europe), this Sales Manager will be responsible for capitalising on Whatnot’s existing growth and building upon its foundation. Specific responsibilities include:
- Building and leading an established and growing International sales team as a strategic executive, driving growth
- Serving and effectively working closely alongside the European leadership team to lead and conduct day-to-day business
- Own and execute a sales strategy while working closely with key peers across Marketing, Product, Finance, and Operations, to drive a holistic revenue function for sellers of all sizes across our core categories
- Build a strong sales engine; improve sales operations and utilise predictable, repeatable sales roadmaps, and effectively translate targets into specific actions for all levels of sales management
- Drive accountability and key growth outcomes as it relates to the full sales life cycle
- Harness data to drive and proactively modify a go-to-market playbook to implement accountability in forecasts and determine bookings and activities required to generate pipeline and velocity to achieve results
- Maintain a deep understanding of customer use cases and product capabilities across the B2B and B2C motions to understand and solve customer business problems
- Driving operational excellence and accountability to achieve results. Leveraging data, reporting, OKRs, and other best practices to ensure alignment at all levels.

We offer flexibility to work from home or from one of our global office hubs, and we value in-person time for planning, problem-solving, and connection. Team members in this role must live within commuting distance of our London, UK hub.

People who do well at Whatnot tend to be comfortable figuring things out as they go, biased toward action, and genuinely curious about what they're building. They care more about outcomes than credit and stay close to the product and the people using it.
As our first French-speaking Sales Manager, you should have 7+ years of sales experience and 4+ years of executive-level management experience, with a track record of building and leading high-performance sales teams in EMEA. Plus;
- A revenue leader with a track record of scaling a sales team in a high-growth environment
- Proven experience as a sales leader and experience leading sales in a social commerce, two-sided marketplace, and/or network effect consumer business
- Fluent French and English with a deep understanding of the French market
- Expertise in operating businesses driven by marketplace dynamics; experience in managing both supply and demand
- Experience in high-growth environments at scale and entrepreneurial, startup environments
- Prior experience building, scaling, leading, and developing sales teams
- Demonstrated track record of driving innovation and successfully adapting to changes in the industry or market
- Operates with relentless speed and velocity, while maintaining a high sense of humility and integrity
- Passionate about the fashion and/or collectibles re-selling space, or has an interest in becoming passionate

- Parental Leave
- 16 weeks of paid parental leave + one month gradual return to work *company leave allowances run concurrently with country leave requirements which take precedence.
