Sales Manager
Referment is recruiting a Sales Manager for an established B2B events and insights business offering significant scope for commercial and career growth.
This is a hands-on new-business opportunity for an experienced SaaS seller who can build a pipeline, engage senior enterprise stakeholders and close business. You will sell sponsorship opportunities that connect solution providers with decision-makers at medium and large enterprises.
Relevant backgrounds include marketing software, customer data, CRM and sales technology. Your ability to qualify and convert enterprise opportunities is more important than previous sponsorship sales experience.
The Role
- Take ownership of new-business sales, from initial engagement through to close.
- Build a clear understanding of clients’ commercial priorities and target audiences.
- Develop compelling sponsorship proposals and lead negotiations.
- Maintain a disciplined pipeline, accurate forecasts and consistent sales activity.
- Establish a strong personal sales record, with scope to build a team as you succeed.
- Depending on the appointment, dedicated SDR support may be available for lead generation and appointment setting.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
