Essential Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience within private aviation charter sales
  • Previous experience managing or mentoring a sales team
  • Proven ability to negotiate high-value transactions and manage VIP/HNW relationships
  • Strong commercial awareness and composure under pressure

The Opportunity

Our Head of Sales is stepping up to lead SHY's expansion into North America. This role takes the reins of one of private aviation's most dynamic sales teams in Europe, at a point of genuine growth. You are someone who thrives leading from the front, managing relationships internally and externally collaboratively and professionally.

Reporting Line

Reports to: Commercial Director

Deliverables

  • Weekly one-to-one meetings, coaching sessions and performance reviews with the sales team
  • Daily monitoring of individual and team KPIs — gross profit, conversion, forecast accuracy
  • Direct involvement in complex quotations, margin review and VIP requests
  • Personal ownership of key strategic accounts and VIP escalations
  • Close collaboration with flight planning and management across aircraft sourcing, operator suitability, and disruption management
  • Weekly and monthly sales reporting to senior management

Safety & Compliance Responsibilities

  • Ensuring operators meet SHY's safety standards and insurance requirements at every booking
  • Ensuring the team understands client compliance requirements before contracting
  • Embedding operational accuracy and regulatory awareness across the sales team

  • A highly engaged, high-performing sales team
  • Revenue and margin targets consistently met or exceeded
  • Improved quote-to-booking conversion and client retention
  • New strategic partnerships and key accounts secured

Requirements

Essential Experience
