Job Summary

As the Sales Manager (SECTOR), you are responsible for the identification and development of existing and new customer relationships with the clear focus on order intake leading to revenue growth. Immersed in the sector, the role encompasses project management, technical expertise, future technology considerations, and business development capability.

The Sales Manager is a crucial role in establishing, building, and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and new customers. The primary focus is on understanding sector-specific customer needs, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving growth opportunities through organic and inorganic new business establishment. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, composites technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a deep, technical understanding of the products or services offered. As a sector-specific Sales Manager, you are at the forefront of the business growth trajectory within this field, fully immersed to understand the changing industry landscape.

Client Relationship Management

  • Establishment of new customer relationships, business development activities, and exploration of new territories as required, driven by our strategy decisions.
  • Understand customer needs and objectives to provide effective solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
  • Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for customer enquiries and issues.

Account Planning and Strategy

  • Establish key growth opportunities, development of existing customers, and those who have not previously worked with the company before.
  • Working collaboratively with key stakeholders in the business to develop a strategic plan to deploy and generate continued business growth using strategic tools, for example, Porter's Five Forces Model, SWOT & TOWS.
  • The Sales Manager will take ownership and report against the strategic plan, with monthly reviews.
  • Should it be necessary, strategic plans may be adapted due to changing industry demands, activity, or other reasons.
  • Identify key growth opportunities and collaborate with internal teams to capitalize on them.

  • Address and resolve client issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction.

Market and Industry Knowledge

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on market knowledge.
  • Attend identified conferences and exhibitions as the sector specialist for the business.
