Sales Manager - SafeStay Holland Park & The Kensington Collection
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Location: Holland Park & Kensington, London

About the Role
We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Sales Manager to lead the sales strategy for SafeStay Holland Park Hostel and The Kensington Collection, comprising Ashburn Hotel, Ashburn Court, Claverley Court and Chesham Court Apartments in South Kensington.
Reporting directly to the Cluster General Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth across multiple market segments, increasing direct bookings, developing corporate relationships and maximising occupancy and ADR through proactive sales activity.
This is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented hospitality sales professional who enjoys building client relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and secure new corporate, leisure, group and agency business.
- Develop relationships with local businesses, universities, embassies, schools, hospitals and relocation companies.
- Increase long-stay and extended-stay business across the apartments.
- Build relationships with travel management companies (TMCs), tour operators and wholesalers.
- Attend networking events, exhibitions and trade shows.
Revenue Growth
- Deliver the annual sales and revenue budget.
- Increase occupancy, ADR and RevPAR.
- Work closely with the Revenue Manager to identify demand opportunities.
- Maximise direct bookings through the hotel websites.
- Support promotional campaigns during low-demand periods.

Account Management
- Manage existing corporate accounts.
- Conduct regular sales calls and client visits.
- Negotiate preferred corporate rates.
- Prepare contracts and account reviews.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline using CRM systems.
Digital & Marketing
- Work with the marketing team on:
- Google PPC campaigns
- SEO initiatives
- Email marketing
- Social media promotions
- Website offers
- Increase brand awareness for both SafeStay Holland Park and The Kensington Collection.
Groups & Events
- Generate group bookings from:
- Schools
- Universities
- Sports teams
- International student groups
- Tour operators
- Corporate groups
- Coordinate group requirements with the operations team.
Reporting
- Prepare weekly sales reports.
- Track production by segment.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
- Maintain account production reports.
- Present monthly sales performance to senior management.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Minimum 3 years' hotel or hostel sales experience.
- Proven track record of delivering sales targets.
- Experience managing corporate accounts.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Ability to build long-term client relationships.
- Full UK driving licence (desirable).
Preferred
- Experience in hotels, serviced apartments or hostels.
- Knowledge of London corporate and leisure markets.
- Experience using hotel CRM and PMS systems.
- Understanding of OTA distribution channels and revenue management.
- Experience working with branded hotel groups.

The Kensington Collection is a boutique hospitality portfolio located in South Kensington, comprising:
- Ashburn Hotel - 38-bedroom boutique hotel
- Ashburn Court - 19 serviced apartments
- Claverley Court - 16 luxury serviced apartments
- Chesham Court - 11 serviced apartments
Together with SafeStay Holland Park Hostel, the successful candidate will play a key role in driving revenue and expanding the commercial presence of two unique hospitality brands across West London.
