Sales Manager | Bristol | Hybrid | £60,000+
I’m working with a growing Bristol-based business that’s looking for an experienced Sales Team Manager to join their commercial team at a really exciting point in their growth. They’ve invested heavily into their Business Development team over the last year, bringing in a number of new BDMs, and are now looking for someone who can really focus on getting the best out of them.
It’s very much a people-focused role. You’ll be working closely with the team day-to-day, understanding their pipelines, coaching them through challenges, holding them accountable to their targets and helping each person continue to develop.
What will you be doing?
- Managing and developing a small team of BDMs.
- Running regular 1-2-1s, pipeline reviews and development conversations.
- Coaching the team around prospecting, opportunities and conversion.
- Keeping a close eye on activity, performance and revenue targets.
- Identifying where individuals need additional support or development.
- Helping build a positive, ambitious sales culture where the team genuinely wants to do well together.
- Working closely with senior leadership around wider commercial performance and growth plans.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
