Our clients is a growing and ambitious Managed Services Provider delivering innovative IT solutions, cloud services, cybersecurity, communications, and digital transformation services to organisations across the UK.

As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead their Business Development and Account Management teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for a sales leader who thrives on developing high-performing teams, driving revenue growth, and creating a culture of accountability and success.

The Role

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of Business Development Managers and Account Managers. You will create and execute sales strategies that drive new business acquisition, maximise customer retention, and increase revenue from existing clients.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of Business Development Managers and Account Managers.
  • Set clear objectives, KPIs, and performance expectations.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews, and sales coaching sessions.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop sales talent.

Sales Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and implement sales plans to achieve company revenue and profitability targets.
  • Drive new business opportunities across Managed Services, Cloud, Security, Connectivity, and Professional Services.
  • Identify new markets, verticals, and growth opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline across the team.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting of sales performance.

Account Management

  • Oversee strategic customer relationships and key accounts.
  • Support Account Managers in identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
  • Drive customer retention and long-term contract value.
  • Ensure customers receive exceptional service and strategic account planning.

Commercial Management

  • Monitor sales metrics, pipeline health, conversion rates, and team performance.
  • Support complex negotiations and contract discussions.
  • Work alongside technical and service delivery teams to develop compelling customer solutions.
  • Ensure CRM data accuracy and effective sales processes are maintained.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Sales Leader within an IT Managed Services Provider (MSP).
  • Experience managing and developing Business Development and Account Management teams.
  • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
  • Strong understanding of consultative and solution-based selling.
  • Experience managing sales pipelines and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
