About the Role
Join an established logistics company and drive growth through building strong commercial relationships in the parcel and freight sector.
FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established parcel, pallet and logistics business with the recruitment of a Sales Manager.
Permanent, full-time position based in Newark-on-Trent, with regular travel to customer sites across the region.
This is a proactive, field-based sales role focused on winning new business, developing a strong pipeline and building long-term commercial relationships across parcel, pallet and freight services.
Salary
Fully negotiable + uncapped commission / bonus + company car or car allowance + additional benefits
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new parcel and pallet customers across the agreed territory
- Generate new business through prospecting, cold calling, networking, referrals and face-to-face meetings
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and consistently develop new opportunities
- Meet customers to understand shipping requirements, volumes and service expectations
- Prepare quotations, proposals, tenders and sales presentations
- Sell parcel, pallet, courier, freight and associated transport solutions
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms while protecting margins
- Develop strong relationships with new customers from initial contact through to onboarding
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue through additional services and increased shipment volumes
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales activity and pipeline information
- Monitor market activity and identify opportunities for further business growth

Requirements
- Previous experience within B2B sales or business development with Logistics, or Freight, or Parcels & Pallets
- Strong new-business prospecting and lead-generation skills
- Confident telephone, face-to-face and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation and closing ability
- Commercially aware with a good understanding of pricing and profitability
- Self-motivated and comfortable working towards sales targets
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Experience within parcels, pallets, courier, freight, transport or logistics would be highly advantageous
- Experience selling domestic or international transport solutions would be beneficial
- Full UK driving licence required
