Are you an experienced Business Development / Sales Manager with a strong knowledge and background in technical textiles? Do you understand the difference between wet and dry processing and a weft from a knit? Can you capably build new business whilst managing a small team?

We’re working exclusively with an EXCEPTIONAL technical textile manufacturer to find the right fit for their UK sales division. Currently going through a period of planned growth, they’re investing in new machinery to uplift their offering to customers.

About You

  • It is essential that you have a strong background in technical textiles
  • You should have previously sold to technical markets such as aerospace, automotive, medical or defence
  • A good understanding of coatings is highly advantageous
  • You’ll be driven and curious – you will absolutely want to get in front of your customers!
  • With your in-depth textiles knowledge and creativity, you’ll enjoy working with customers to develop new technical products to bring to market
  • You will have a natural ability to lead a well-established team
  • Ideally, you’ll be based in commutable distance to the East Midlands.

About The Job

  • You’ll join as UK Sales Manager; there will also be occasional European opportunities
  • You’ll supervise the internal customer care team who will support you in all aspects of your role; they’re highly experienced with the product base, the customers and the suppliers – they work with you to make sure that you have everything that you need to do your job well
  • As well as key account management, you’ll be responsible for developing new business across medical, aerospace, defence and composites to name a few
  • With your excellent negotiation skills, you’ll manage new and existing contracts including pricing and terms
  • You’ll manage your own strategy and forecasts and report to the Sales Director and wider leadership team
  • Although this is being offered as a remote opportunity, the business does expect to see you a couple of times each month
