Sales Manager
Reports to: General Manager
Location: Marylebone
Role Description
As Sales Manager you will have full responsibility for delivering TOAST’s expected front-of-house brand and commercial performance at our brand-leading Marylebone store. You will be expected to use your initiative to equip and enable your team to successfully deliver their sales, customer service and brand experience performance goals and create a market-leading customer experience, supporting the operational processes required to deliver this when required.
You will be an ambassador for TOAST in your methods of working and you will lead by example to develop your team to the same standards. You will liaise with all suitable functions to facilitate any necessary support required to achieve these goals.
Role in Detail
- Ensure your store achieves and exceeds its top-line sales targets by leading and implementing a highly engaging customer service experience based on high-quality rapport building, storytelling and active and skilled styling and selling.
- Measuring and driving performance using sales budgets and the KPI targets of UPT, Conversion %, ATV, clientele ROI, conversion and engagement rates.
- Develop and deliver a clientelling strategy that drives customer loyalty, repeat purchases and long-term customer relationships through personalised engagement.
- Deliver structured sales coaching to all customer-facing team members, improving selling confidence, styling expertise and commercial performance.
- Own customer experience standards within the store, ensuring consistency in service delivery, styling excellence and customer engagement.
- Analyse customer feedback and trading performance to identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, conversion and retention.
- Lead and develop the customer-facing team to deliver exceptional selling, styling and customer service standards.
- Lead by example and deliver the best version of TOAST’s customer service expectations through the development of your store team.
- Support the delivery of the best example of TOAST’s brand commercial expectations in your store in liaison with the General Manager and Visual Merchandising team.
- Support the delivery of the best example of TOAST’s brand visual expectations in your store in liaison with the General Manager and Visual Merchandising team.
- Support the General Manager in building strong relationships with Buying & Merchandising functions and commercially optimise your store stock package to achieve both high sales performance and beautiful visual presentation.
- Provide detailed feedback to key liaisons regarding stock performance and opportunity.
- Support the exceptional delivery of TOAST’s brand and marketing initiatives in your store in liaison with the General Manager and TOAST Marketing team.
- Work collaboratively with the Operations Manager to ensure operational processes support an outstanding customer experience.
- Supporting the General Manager and Operations Manager to achieving cost control KPI targets, in particular pay to sales % and stock loss % but including all costs within the control of your role.
- Support the provision of a safe and healthy working environment for all the team with a focus on risk assessment and ensuring a high level of housekeeping.
- Actively seek feedback and self-development of own skill set to continually improve performance.
- Any other duties at the request of the General Manager.
