We are looking for a full-time Sales Manager to lead our Multi-Academy Trusts (MATS), Healthcare (non-care home) & others division, specialising in public sector tenders and framework management to drive continued growth in this rewarding and important sector.

The Role
The Business Development Manager will play a vital role in positioning allmanhall as the leading procurement provider across the MATS & Healthcare (non-care home) sectors, with a primary focus on securing business through public sector tender processes and frameworks.
Operating as a predominantly home-based professional, you will take ownership of the public sector sales pipeline across the UK. You will lead the end-to-end tender lifecycle, from tracking and qualifying opportunities to writing compelling bids, managing the bureaucratic process, delivering impactful presentations, and closing deals before handing them over to the mobilisation team.
Main duties and responsibilities include:
- Manage Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs), healthcare (non-care home) and other sectors (e.g. leisure) sales activity, and build then nurture the sales pipeline, to achieve agreed targets and conversion rate
- Identifying, tracking, and qualifying public sector tender opportunities (PQQs, ITTs, and RFPs) within the MATS and Healthcare (non-care home) sectors.
- Leading the end-to-end tender and bid response process, writing clear, compliant, and persuasive proposal content.
- Leveraging deep knowledge of public sector procurement and frameworks (such as YPO, ESPO, PAGABO, TUCO, HCA, and NHS frameworks) to secure framework spots and call-off contracts.
- Managing sales activity and pipeline in Salesforce to achieve targets and conversion rates.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders (Directors, Senior Management Team, buyers, and marketing) to scope tailored solutions and design winning proposals.
- Leading impactful client presentations, panel interviews, and pitch meetings.
- Representing allmanhall at relevant public sector and industry events.
- Keeping a close eye on policy and market changes within the MATS and Healthcare sectors to refine our offering.
- Ensuring a smooth handover of newly won contracts to the mobilisation team.
The Candidate
Essential Requirements
- Proven Public Sector Experience: Demonstrable track record of working within the public sector tender market, managing PQQs, ITTs, and formal procurement processes.
- Food Industry Experience: Background or familiarity working within foodservice, catering, or food procurement industries.
- Framework Knowledge: Direct familiarity and working knowledge of public sector frameworks such as YPO, PAGABO, TUCO, HCA, and/or NHS frameworks.
- Tender Writing & Presentation Skills: Highly skilled in drafting compelling bid responses and delivering engaging presentations/pitches to stakeholder panels.
- Sales & Commercial Acumen: Strong background in business development, pipeline management, and closing high-value contracts.
- Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence and access to private transport.

Desirable Requirements
- Sector Understanding: Prior experience specifically operating within MATS (Multi-Academy Trusts) or non-care home Healthcare environments.
- Sustainability Knowledge: An understanding of sustainable procurement practices and social value commitments.
The Contract
Hours
- Full-time, permanent: 37 hours per week. Monday to Friday 08:45 – 17:15 (with an early finish on Friday at 16:15). 4 days a week could be considered for the right candidate.
Salary
- £48,500 FTE per annum plus a competitive commission scheme and a monthly car allowance.
Location
- Working from the Head Office – SN13 0NY, approximately once a fortnight initially. Working from home or with clients ‘in the field’ for the majority of the time.
