Your mission:
Fidectus is seeking a Sales Manager to expand our presence across the European energy trading market by generating qualified opportunities, developing relationships within target accounts, and supporting the progression of strategic opportunities.
This is a highly commercial role combining outbound prospecting, industry networking, customer engagement, and opportunity development. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Sales and wider commercial team to build market coverage, create pipeline, and develop long-term customer relationships across Europe.
What you'll do:
Market Development & Pipeline Generation
- Build relationships across target accounts in European energy and commodity markets.
- Generate qualified opportunities through a combination of outbound prospecting, referrals, partner engagement, and industry networking.
- Attend conferences, customer meetings, and industry events across Europe.
- Research target accounts and identify key stakeholders across trading, operations, back office, settlement, risk, and technology functions.
- Consistently generate qualified pipeline opportunities.

Opportunity Development
- Support discovery conversations and qualification activities.
- Progress selected opportunities independently.
- Coordinate with senior sales leadership on strategic accounts.
- Maintain momentum through clear next actions and stakeholder engagement.
Account & Territory Development
- Develop structured coverage plans for target markets and strategic accounts.
- Build relationships with customers, prospects, partners, and industry participants.
- Identify expansion opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
Commercial Operations
- Maintain excellent CRM hygiene and account intelligence.
- Track pipeline development, meetings, and commercial activity.
- Contribute market feedback and competitive intelligence.
Your profile - What you will need:
Required
- 3-7 years' experience in business development, sales, or account development within B2B SaaS, technology, or related industries
- Demonstrated ability to generate opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship-building
- Experience engaging multiple stakeholders within medium-to-large organizations
- Strong written, verbal, and face-to-face communication skills
- Experience working with CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar
- Fluency in English
Strongly Preferred
- Exposure to energy, commodities, financial services, or enterprise software
- Experience attending industry events and developing business relationships
- Familiarity with structured sales methodologies (e.g., Challenger, MEDDICC, Sandler, or similar)
- Experience engaging operational, technology, or transformation stakeholders
- German (written and spoken), additional European languages are a plus
