Sales Manager - Manchester - Up to £75,000 + Commission

A forward-thinking professional services organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Sales Manager to join its commercial growth team in Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven business development professional to take ownership of new client acquisition and revenue generation activities within a highly respected, relationship-led business. Working closely with senior leaders and client-facing professionals, you will play a key role in identifying opportunities, developing strategic relationships and contributing to ambitious growth plans.

The Role

  • Drive business growth through the identification, development and conversion of new client opportunities
  • Build and nurture relationships with prospective clients, referral sources and key market contacts
  • Develop and execute targeted sales strategies across priority markets and sectors
  • Take ownership of a diverse pipeline of opportunities, managing prospects from initial engagement through to successful conversion
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to uncover and progress commercial opportunities
  • Attend networking events, industry functions and client meetings to raise market profile and generate new business
  • Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to maximise commercial outcomes from campaigns and initiatives
  • Monitor market trends and identify emerging opportunities for growth
  • Deliver regular pipeline reporting, forecasting and performance analysis
  • Support colleagues with business development activity and promote a culture of commercial excellence across the wider business
  • Contribute to strategic growth initiatives and help strengthen the organisation's presence in key markets

About You

  • A strong background in business development, sales or client acquisition within a professional or consultative services environment
  • A proven track record of generating and converting new business opportunities
  • Experience building relationships with senior decision-makers and influencing key stakeholders
  • Excellent consultative selling and relationship management skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and an ability to identify value-adding opportunities
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • A results-focused mindset with the drive to exceed targets and deliver growth
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
  • A proactive, resilient and self-motivated approach
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with wider teams
