Rialtas
Rialtas, part of the global Harris Computer family, is the market leader in accounting and administrative software for local councils across England and Wales. With more than 1,000 customers, we empower local authorities with innovative software solutions that simplify financial management and administration.
We’re looking for a commercially astute, results-driven Sales Manager to lead our Sales Department and drive both new business acquisition and installed-base growth. In this key leadership role, you will directly manage the New Business Lead, the Customer Success Manager (CSM), and the Existing Inbound Sales Lead.
Reporting to the EVP, you will take ownership of delivering revenue targets, shaping and executing our sales strategy, and driving strong performance through effective KPI management. Combining strategic thinking with hands-on leadership, you’ll foster a high-performing sales culture while embracing a modern, AI-augmented sales approach. AI tooling will be a core part of how your team prospects, sells, and forecasts, helping to maximise efficiency and commercial success.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact, elevate our sales function, and contribute to the continued success of a growing software organisation.
Our offices are located in Uffcott, Wroughton near Swindon, easily accessible from Junctions 15 and 16 on the M4. This is a hybrid role, with on-site presence to be agreed. Occasional travel to client sites and UK-wide conferences will be required.
What You Will Do
Your key responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):
Leadership & team management
- Lead and develop the NN Lead and Customer Success Manager, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
- Use AI-generated performance insights — conversation intelligence, deal scoring — to inform coaching conversations and team development plans.
- Apply a strong understanding of both upsell/cross-sell and new business sales cycles and methodologies, ensuring alignment on sales targets, customer experience, and operational delivery.
- With more than 1,000 customers, retention is key — ensure customer excellence is provided throughout the company.
- Collaborate with the Professional Services (PS) Lead so customers are efficiently scheduled into programmes, courses are effectively marketed, and capacity is optimised.
- Coach, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve individual and departmental goals.
Sales growth & strategy
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy focused on driving new business acquisition and B2B revenue growth.
- Use AI-powered prospecting and market intelligence tools to identify new opportunities, enrich lead data, and prioritise high-potential accounts.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align campaigns and service delivery with sales objectives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
