Overview

We are seeking an ambitious, commercially focused, and hands-on Sales Manager to lead our high-performing sales team.

People management is key and this is a leadership role for someone who thrives in a customer-facing environment and enjoys being actively involved in winning business, developing people, and driving commercial performance. As well as setting the strategy, you will lead from the front by working alongside your team, supporting key customer meetings, coaching sales professionals, and helping secure major opportunities.

You will be responsible for delivering regional sales growth, improving profitability, developing strategic customer relationships, and building a high-performing sales culture that consistently exceeds expectations.

Reporting into the Regional Director of North & Midlands, you will be part of the North & Midlands Leadership Team and play a key role in shaping regional success while collaborating closely with colleagues across the wider business.

Ideally, you'll be based between Birmingham and Glasgow to support customers and teams across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Build, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing multi-skilled sales team.
  • Create a culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one coaching sessions focused on performance and development.
  • Set clear goals and expectations while holding individuals accountable for results.
  • Develop succession plans and build future leadership capability within the team.
  • Foster an inclusive and engaging environment where individuals can perform at their best.

Drive Sales Growth and Commercial Performance

  • Take ownership of regional sales performance, delivering agreed targets for orders, revenue, profitability, market share, and value-added services.
  • Lead the sales team to secure new business opportunities while maximising growth within existing accounts.
  • Maintain a strong personal presence with customers, supporting key negotiations and major sales opportunities.
  • Drive a proactive and disciplined sales culture focused on activity, pipeline generation, conversion rates, and commercial outcomes.
  • Balance sales growth with strong margin and pricing management.
  • Identify opportunities to increase market penetration and develop new customer relationships.
  • Champion the promotion and sale of KONE's digital and value-added solutions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
