Title: Sales Manager (New Customer Acquisition) - Software Monetization
Location: The preferred location is Reading, although Remote UK with regular visit to Reading site could be taken into consideration for the ideal candidate. This role offers a hybrid approach to office and remote working. Travel in the UK and around Nordics / BeNeLux is an essential part of the role.
Thales Software Monetization
The position is based in the Thales Software Monetization division. Thales has more than 30 years of experience in software protection, software delivery and license management with many thousands of customers worldwide. Software companies and smart device manufacturers can use these solutions to reliably license, deliver and protect their software, enabling steady business growth. The Sentinel product portfolio helps customers get the most value from their software whether it is on-premise, in the cloud or on an embedded device. Sentinel is the brand name in the software industry for secure, flexible and future-proof software monetization solutions.
Core Activities
In your area of responsibility, you are the first point of contact for all interested parties from the initial contact to the conclusion of the contract for the Thales Software Monetization portfolio in the region UK/Ireland, the BeNeLux and the Nordics. As Sales Manager you are an active part of the sales team and inspire potential new customers about the Sentinel solutions in the field.

The range of tasks includes:
- Direct sales of our products, solutions and services in the key account environment and in the upper midmarket in UK/Ireland, the BeNeLux and the Nordics.
- Active acquisition of new customers in selected industry segments (e.g. mechanical engineering, medical technology and software companies) and development of an opportunity pipeline.
- Acquisition of new contacts (new customers in B2B business) in the field, by phone and online.
- First point of contact for interested parties from initial contact to contract conclusion.
- Market analysis and definition of interesting key customers within your segment incl. participation in marketing activities, trade conferences and fairs.
- Close cooperation and orchestration of internal departments in customer projects (pre-sales, product management, professional services).
- Development of project benefits and added value arguments with and for customers and prospects.
- Forecasting and creation of measurable concepts for target achievement.
- Traceable documentation in the CRM system Salesforce.
Education
Successful university degree (business administration, business informatics or similar) or comparable education / professional experience.

Skills
- 5-10 years of experience in direct sales of complex software / IT solutions with proven successes.
- Strategic thinking and goal-oriented action within the scope of quota responsibility.
- Understanding of complex business processes and business models in medium-sized and large companies.
- Experience with sales methodologies such as Value-based Selling or Diagnostic Selling.
- Extensive willingness to travel.
- Excellent communications skills in English; Fluent in Swedish is a plus.
