If you’re an experienced automotive Sales Manager who knows how to get the best from a team, drive results and deliver an outstanding customer experience, this could be the right opportunity for you.
At Williams Select Rochdale, you’ll lead a diverse sales operation covering our non-franchise used cars alongside our new electric vehicle brand, Geely. This is a key leadership role for someone who combines strong commercial awareness with a genuine focus on people, performance and customer experience.
About The Sales Manager Role
As Sales Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day performance of the sales operation at Williams Select Rochdale.
Working closely with the Head of Business, you’ll set and deliver sales and profit targets, lead and develop the sales team and ensure every opportunity is maximised.
You’ll play an important role in creating a high-performance environment while maintaining the professional standards and customer experience expected across Williams Motor Group.
What You’ll Be Doing As a Sales Manager
- Setting and delivering annual sales and profit targets alongside the Head of Business
- Leading, motivating and managing the sales team to maximise performance
- Driving sales activity through effective customer follow-up, prospecting and activity management
- Monitoring performance and identifying opportunities to improve sales and profitability
- Supporting the team to deliver a consistently high standard of customer experience
- Ensuring customer queries and complaints are handled professionally and in line with company procedures
- Maintaining high standards of presentation across the showroom and forecourt
- Providing regular performance reports to the Head of Business and senior management

- Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a senior automotive sales role
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- A track record of delivering sales and profit targets
- Strong commercial awareness and a results-driven approach
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- The ability to motivate, coach and get the best from a sales team
- A professional and positive approach
- A genuine focus on delivering results without compromising the customer experience
