The Role
Are you an ambitious sales leader who enjoys building teams, creating structure and turning growth plans into commercial results?
We’re recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing healthcare business looking for a Sales Manager to build and lead a new national outbound sales function.
This is a newly created role with genuine scope to shape the team from the ground up. You’ll recruit and develop Sales Representatives, introduce scalable sales processes and create a high-performance culture focused on customer acquisition, revenue growth and exceptional service. It’s an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven, hands-on leader who wants the autonomy to create something new and make a visible impact.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting, leading and developing a high-performing outbound sales team
- Creating the team structure, KPIs, coaching frameworks and performance standards
- Developing and delivering sales campaigns across care home and direct-to-patient channels
- Driving customer acquisition, conversion and revenue growth
- Introducing effective prospecting and consultative-selling approaches
- Building relationships with care home owners, managers and procurement teams
- Working closely with field sales colleagues to generate qualified opportunities and maximise conversion
- Improving CRM, telephony and sales processes to increase productivity and customer engagement
- Monitoring pipeline health, forecasting, conversion rates and customer journeys
- Using performance data and customer insight to identify areas for improvement and new commercial opportunities
- Establishing reporting, governance and succession-planning frameworks to support the function’s long-term growth
- Ensuring all activity meets the required regulatory, compliance and data-protection standards

About You
We’re looking for an energetic and commercially minded sales leader who can balance strategy with hands-on delivery. You’ll ideally bring:
- Proven experience leading an outbound sales, business development or contact-centre sales team
- Experience building, launching or transforming a sales function
- A strong record of delivering customer acquisition and revenue targets
- The ability to create meaningful KPIs and manage pipeline, forecasting and conversion performance
- Excellent coaching and people-development skills
- Strong commercial judgment and a data-led approach to decision-making
- Experience using CRM, telephony or customer-management platforms
- The confidence to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate across departments
- An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to turn new ideas into commercial results
- A customer-focused, consultative approach, particularly when dealing with sensitive or personal circumstances
