Sales Manager

Skelmersdale | Thorite, part of Flowtech

Company Car | Competitive Salary | Bonus & Commission

Build something of your own — with the backing of an established industry leader.

This isn't a traditional Branch Manager role.

We're opening a new Thorite branch in Skelmersdale and are looking for a commercially driven, technically credible sales professional to help build and grow it.

You'll have the opportunity to win new customers, grow sales, shape the local strategy and, as the branch develops, build and lead a team around you.

Think of it as the opportunity to run and grow your own business — without the risk of starting one yourself.

You'll have genuine autonomy, but you won't be doing it alone. As part of Thorite and the wider Flowtech Group, you'll have the backing, support and expertise of an established engineering business behind you.

The Opportunity

Your focus will be on growing a successful and profitable branch. You'll be responsible for:

  • Winning new business and developing the local customer base
  • Managing and growing existing customer relationships
  • Getting out to visit customers and identify opportunities
  • Developing quotations and converting opportunities into sales
  • Driving sales growth, margin and profitability
  • Providing technical advice and solutions
  • Helping shape the branch's sales and growth strategy
  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the branch
  • Recruiting and leading a team as the branch grows

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
