Role Description
This full-time, on-site Sales Manager role is based at the Livingston branch. The Sales Manager will lead the local sales team, set clear targets, and coach colleagues to deliver excellent customer service and profitable growth. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing key customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring effective promotion of plumbing, heating, and bathroom products. The role includes monitoring sales performance, managing stock and pricing in coordination with branch leadership, and implementing local sales initiatives. The Sales Manager will collaborate closely with operations and branch teams to maintain high standards of safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Strong background in sales and management, including setting targets, monitoring performance, and coaching team members to meet objectives.
- Proven ability in customer relationship management, account development, and building long-term partnerships with trade and retail customers.
- Experience in the plumbing, heating, or building materials sector, or another relevant B2B environment, is highly advantageous.
- Solid commercial awareness, including pricing, margin management, and local market insight to support profitable growth.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and collaborate across branch teams.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a practical approach to handling day-to-day branch sales challenges.
- Comfort with using sales systems and basic IT tools (e.g., CRM, ERP, spreadsheets) to track performance and opportunities.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role and a track record of taking ownership and delivering results.
