Role Description
The Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Rochdale, responsible for leading and motivating the sales team to achieve performance targets and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Day-to-day Tasks
- Managing sales operations on the showroom floor
- Coaching and supporting sales executives
- Monitoring KPIs
- Ensuring that sales processes align with cartime’s relaxed, non-pressure approach
Responsibilities
- Oversee lead management, customer follow-ups
- Integration of finance, part exchange, and warranty offers into the sales journey
- Collaborate closely with finance and operations teams to optimize stock turnover, pricing, and promotional campaigns
- Maintain high standards of compliance and professional conduct
- Contribute to continuous improvement by reviewing customer feedback, implementing best practices, and supporting training and development across the sales function
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive sales management or a similar retail sales leadership role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong people management skills, including team coaching, performance management, and the ability to foster a supportive, customer-first culture
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with customers and colleagues
- Solid commercial and analytical skills, including experience with sales KPIs, forecasting, and using CRM or dealership management systems
- Knowledge of vehicle finance products, warranties, and part exchange processes, ideally within a used car supermarket environment
- Ability to work on-site full time in Rochdale, with flexibility to cover weekends and peak trading periods as required
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and a focus on process improvement
