About Us

The Independent Garage Association (IGA) is the UK's leading trade body for independent garages. We're looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead our field-based sales team and help grow our membership across the UK.

About the Role

This role is suited to someone with proven leadership experience within the independent garage sector who has a strong sales background and enjoys building long-term relationships. As well as managing your own accounts and identifying new business opportunities, you'll be responsible for leading, coaching and supporting a team of field-based Sales Executives.

You'll be based in the field, travelling to meet members and prospective members, attend industry events and support your team. You'll also be expected to spend time in our Coventry office on a regular basis to work closely with colleagues, attend meetings and contribute to the wider business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead, motivate and support a team of field-based Sales Executives.
  • Set objectives, monitor performance and help the team achieve membership growth and retention targets.
  • Identify and win new members while maintaining strong relationships with existing members.
  • Manage key accounts, including larger member groups and commercial partners.
  • Promote and increase engagement with the Trust My Garage scheme.
  • Represent the IGA at trade shows, exhibitions, roadshows and other industry events.
  • Work closely with our Communications & Marketing team to support campaigns, events and member engagement activities.
  • Identify opportunities to grow membership and improve the services we offer.
  • Manage projects and budgets where required.
  • Act as an ambassador for the IGA and the independent garage sector.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
