The Role
The role of the Sales Manager (UK) – GRP Roofing will involve:
- Field sales position selling a manufactured range of GRP roofing products including rooflights and GRP valley troughs
- Player manager role, you will be responsible for a sales agent in Scotland and a field sales person for North and East side of England
- 80% selling into builders merchants, 20% stimulating demand with roofing contractors
- Personal sales responsibly for the South West, South Central, West Midlands, Wales and Cheshire areas
- Personal revenue responsibility for circa £9m as well as responsibility for the overall UK target of £18m
- Mainly sales over management
- Typical order value £3,000
- Inheriting a team currently 18% down on budget, largely due to economic factors

The Ideal Applicant
The ideal applicant will be a Sales Manager (UK) – GRP Roofing with:
- Must have a roofing related field sales background
- Must have sold in builders merchants
- Roofing contractor customer experience useful
- Field sales management would be nice but not essential
- Any knowledge of GRP products and applications may be advantageous
- Specific knowledge of; rooflights, GRP, profiles, roofing, valley troughs, gutters etc. not essential
- Strong computer literacy skills
- High levels of organisational skills such as planning, punctuality and prescience
