Pleasure Beach Resort is a historic theme park and resort destination in Blackpool, founded in 1896 and continually evolving with innovative attractions. The resort features major rides such as the 235ft Big One, the award-winning Valhalla water ride, and the world-famous Hot Ice Show. It is home to Northern Europe’s Best Luxury Hotel, Boulevard, The Big Blue Hotel, and a wide range of unique events. With major new developments like Aviktas, the biggest ride of its kind in the UK, and the re-imagined Launch Pad ride, the resort offers an exciting environment for professionals who want to be part of a dynamic, growth-oriented hospitality and attractions business.

Role Description

The Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Pleasure Beach Resort in Blackpool. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth across hotel, attractions, events, and corporate bookings by identifying new business opportunities and nurturing existing client relationships. Daily activities include managing the sales pipeline, preparing proposals and contracts, conducting site visits and presentations, and coordinating with marketing, operations, and events teams to deliver tailored packages. The Sales Manager will analyze sales performance data, forecast demand, and contribute to pricing and promotional strategies. The role also involves representing the resort at trade shows and industry events, maintaining accurate CRM records, and ensuring a high standard of guest and client experience throughout the sales process.

  • Strong background in sales and account management within hospitality, tourism, attractions, or related sectors, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Experience in business development, including prospecting, lead generation, and building long-term client partnerships across corporate, leisure, and group segments.
  • Skilled in negotiation, presenting, and closing deals, with the ability to tailor proposals and packages to different customer needs and budgets.
  • Proficient in using CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and basic data analysis to manage pipelines, forecast performance, and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and represent the resort professionally.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including managing multiple accounts and projects in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
  • Experience planning and coordinating group bookings, corporate events, or conference and banqueting sales is highly beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Blackpool and the wider UK leisure and tourism market, including competitor landscape and key distribution channels, is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
