On behalf of a rapidly expanding organisation, AD Energy is seeking a UK Sales Manager

Candidates of interest must reside in the UK, have operated within the Solar PV sector and possess proven sales management experience within the PV Battery and Inverter sector.

Our client has been a long-standing business and holds a strong growth philosophy and wish to ensure that only the highest quality of service and solutions is offered.

This position is a crucial hire for the newly founded Business unit, where the appointed person will become a part of an established European Commercial Team.

Reporting directly to the Global VP Sales, this position’s aim is to increase sales and commercial presence within the region (UK and then latterly Ireland) though diligent channel management and implement the new client acquisition strategy for installers.

  • Devise and implement sales commercial plan
  • Operationally manage and commercially support solar and electrical wholesalers with sales, business planning, and product queries
  • Revaluate distributor partnerships and frameworks aligned to growth strategy
  • Focus on new client acquisition with solar and electrical installers
  • Identify new sales and business opportunities - pursue commercial plan and engage in negotiation
  • Close new business opportunities and sale deals
  • Partake in sales and business administration tasks
  • Deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations to all existing and prospective internal and external partners
  • Deliver product installer training and seminars
  • Execute brand and company message - ensure the business is the supplier of choice
  • Attend to initial product queries within the region, follow technical and product escalation procedure is required
  • Keep abreast with the business status and products of competitors
  • Utilise market research and knowledge to devise corrective or progressive plans to accelerate the business growth further in region
  • Achieve Sales KPI’s according to annual business plan
  • Monitor the market share of business
  • Ensure excellent customer satisfaction

Key requirements:

  • Educated in the field of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Power, Renewables or related technical field
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years’ technical sales experience, preferably within solar PV and energy storage
  • Knowledge of solar, PV, photovoltaics and battery sales is highly advantageous
  • Possess direct experience in managing channel sales, working with distributors
  • Understand acquiring new business partners, working with installers within the region
  • Demonstrate proven experience with executing new sales strategy and increasing market share
  • Must show keen sales and operations management experience and ability
  • A keen enthusiasm working with client and assisting them to find the best solution
  • Be a very independent sales professional with a proactive approach
  • Be motivated to get things done and there for customers
  • Express exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
  • Ability to work alongside all levels of employee and management to achieve shared goal
  • Willingness to travel extensively across England and Ireland too.
