Role Description
DriveSimple helps growing businesses and tradespeople get vans without the financial risk and long lock-ins of traditional leasing. Until now, the choice was an expensive short-term rental or a restrictive four-year lease. We built a third option: flexible van subscription. Contracts start at six months, with no deposit and easy cancellation. One fixed monthly cost covers servicing, maintenance, tax and tyres.
Our mission is to help businesses and sole traders get the vans they need to grow, on their terms. The demand exists. You design the playbook and run your own experiments. You report to the CEO, who backs you to change whatever slows a deal down. You start with a product customers love, a working funnel with mapped leaks, a HubSpot CRM in mid-redesign and an experienced sales lead beside you.
What will you do
- Own the funnel from enquiry to van delivered. You are accountable for monthly deliveries, conversion at each stage and speed-to-lead.
- Set the standard for how deals get worked and won.
- Rebuild the commercial engine: 24/7 lead capture, automated document chasing, deposits and booking payments.
- Run HubSpot as the single source of truth: one pipeline, clean stages, an owner and a value on every deal.
- Work with operations and compliance so approvals come back fast and no customer waits for the next step.
- Open and grow partnership channels: brokers, affiliates, insurers and courier networks that bring repeat fleet business.
- Test pricing, ancillary products and win-back campaigns. Bring the CEO results with numbers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Qualifications
- 5+ years in high-velocity B2B or SME sales, including time leading a team or a funnel rather than a territory.
- Hands-on HubSpot and Aircall experience (or comparable cloud telephony). You run your funnel from the CRM.
- Full proficiency with AI tools. You use them daily to prospect, draft, analyse and automate, and you can build a workflow around them.
- A background in vehicle rental, leasing, subscription or asset finance helps; so does any regulated, approval-based sale.
- Comfortable being measured on conversion rates, lead times and pipeline data.
- A process builder: you have introduced automation, playbooks or SLAs, and you can show what changed.
- At ease with tradespeople, couriers and small business owners, and able to sell value against a cheaper headline price.
- Hands-on: in a company our size, the Sales Manager closes deals as well as counts them.
- Set up to work fully remote, with the discipline that takes.

What we offer
- Fully remote. Work from anywhere within two hours of UK time.
- Competitive base with uncapped OTE. Your earnings track the deliveries you drive, and the funnel is yours to improve.
- A small, fast-moving team. Decisions get made in days; what you ship this month shows in next month's numbers.
- A freshly funded startup at the point of scale. You build the sales function while the company grows around it, with a direct line to the CEO.
