The role requires a CAN-DO attitude, an ability to learn from any losses and celebrate every win. To grow and service your business; win new work, find opportunities in the market and develop relationships with your customers, hauliers and suppliers to achieve maximum orders in both volume and profit.
Key Responsibilities
- Situation solving, be proactive and capable of understanding issues and resolving.
- Thrive in challenging situations and enjoy working within deadlines.
- Responsibility for the gross trading margin performance of the region.
- To work with the director to set the budgets for the year.
- Managing and leading the commercial team within the region, driving and exceeding budgets with a Can-do attitude.
- Developing and creating an energetic trading environment for the team to grow and progress with 1to1 plans for all.
- Working with the internal business partners across all aspects of the business, HSEQ, HR, People, Finance, Shared Services.
- Delivering a supplier Strategy alongside the Director.
- Recruiting/inducting and retaining the next grs talent.
- Admin responsibilities for all aspects of the business from Supplier quotes being correct, Data entered into systems and Purchase orders.
- Ensuring that there are fun activities delivered and entertaining our team, customers and suppliers outside working hours.
- Responsibility for compliance and discharging legal duties with regards to HR and Health & Safety to promote a safe, equitable and legally compliant workplace.

What We Are Looking For
- Must have a full UK Driving License (Essential).
- Experience managing internal and external sales staff (Essential).
- External Sales / Field Sales Experience (Desirable).
- Broad product range knowledge - Aggregates and Waste Removal (Desirable).
- This will suit a people person, someone who is dedicated to serve to lead mantra making sure that your team and your business have all the tools to perform to the highest level.
