The Opportunity
We are looking for an ambitious, commercially driven Sales Manager to join Pentawards, the world's leading platform and community dedicated to packaging design — and a role sitting at the heart of a genuinely creative, fast-moving industry.
You'll drive sponsorship, exhibition stand and digital marketing revenue across the Pentawards portfolio, including its annual packaging design competition and associated events, working with a genuine hunter mentality to open new doors while also growing an established client base.
Pentawards is part of a fast-growing division running market-defining trade shows across the UK, France and Italy — including Packaging Première (Milan), London Packaging Week and Paris Packaging Week — offering plenty of opportunity to work across borders. This role suits an experienced Account Manager/Key Account Manager looking for a commercially focused position, backed by one of the industry's strongest commission structures and clear progression within Easyfairs.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Identify, research and engage prospective sponsors, exhibitors and advertisers across the global packaging community.
- Build and convert a strong pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking and market research.
- Generate revenue through year-round sponsorship, exhibition stands and digital packages, consistently exceeding targets.
Account Management & Retention
- Grow a portfolio of existing sponsors and clients, maximising retention and rebook revenue.
- Build consultative relationships with key decision-makers across brands, agencies and suppliers.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across sponsorship, stands and digital.
Event & Industry Engagement
- Attend the Pentawards’ networking and paid-for events, as well as other industry events and client meetings in the UK and internationally.
- Represent Pentawards as a trusted industry ambassador and stay close to market trends.
- Work with marketing, operations and content teams to support successful delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
