The Role
We’re looking for an experienced, driven and commercially minded Sales Manager to join our Reeds Rains Huddersfield branch.
Working alongside and reporting to the Branch Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day running and performance of the sales team, making sure we’re delivering great service to our customers while driving instructions, sales and additional income.
This is a hands-on role for somebody who enjoys leading from the front. You’ll know what’s happening with the stock, the pipeline and the team — and you’ll be proactive in making things happen rather than waiting for them to happen.

- Running the day-to-day sales operation alongside the Branch Manager
- Leading, motivating and supporting the sales team
- Working the existing property stock to generate viewings, offers and sales
- Carrying out regular seller reviews and maintaining strong relationships with our vendors
- Reviewing the sales pipeline and driving transactions through from sale agreed to exchange and completion
- Following up market appraisals and valuations to win new instructions
- Generating new business and identifying opportunities within the local market
- Driving referrals and income from Financial Services and Conveyancing
- Monitoring offers, sales and fall-throughs and taking action where needed
- Ensuring buyers and sellers receive regular, proactive communication
- Supporting the Branch Manager with the overall performance and growth of the branch
- Coaching the team and helping create a positive, competitive and high-performing environment

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
