About Prof-Elec
Prof-Elec is a distributor of electrical and industrial components, representing global brands such as Schneider Electric, ABB, Siemens, and Legrand. Since 2008, we have grown across 6 European countries, serving panel builders, OEMs, electrical wholesalers, and industrial customers through local teams and e-shops.
We are expanding in the UK/Ireland and are looking for an experienced Sales Manager based in the Manchester area to grow the market and win new customers.
The role is based in the UK, ideally in or around Manchester/Northern England, with frequent travel across the UK.
What You Will Be Doing
- Identify and approach new customers across the UK – panel builders, OEMs, industrial end-users, and electrical wholesalers.
- Qualify and follow up inbound leads from marketing campaigns and our e-shops, while actively prospecting through phone, email, LinkedIn, video calls, and site visits.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate within agreed pricing guidelines, and close orders.
- Manage customer accounts after the first order, including reorders, lead-time updates, and resolving issues with logistics.
- Keep your sales pipeline up to date in Pipedrive and ensure all leads, quotations, and follow-ups are properly recorded.
- Represent Prof-Elec at customer visits and trade fairs in the UK.
- Assist the Sales Director in executing the UK sales strategy and tracking performance.
- Feed market and competitor insight back to sales, purchasing, and marketing.

What We're Looking For
- Proven B2B field sales and new business development experience, ideally in electrical, automation, or industrial components.
- Experience selling to electrical wholesalers, panel builders, automation companies, or industrial customers is a strong advantage.
- A "hunter" mentality – proactive, persistent, and motivated by finding and winning new customers.
- Independent, analytical, and commercially minded: you manage your own pipeline and follow up until the deal closes.
- Right to work in the UK and a full driving license.
