Role

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Sales Manager to join and lead our Edinburgh Used+ Sales Team. This role requires a proactive, organised and laser-focussed performance driven individual. The role is responsible for leading, driving, delivering and exceeding the sales performance and overall dealership standards for our Used+ brand.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing a clear structure, routine and daily disciplines to ensure the Sales dept operates in the most efficient and performance driven way.
  • Ensuring you have full knowledge of our stock offerings and an ability to use your knowledge to drive and motivate the sales team.
  • Implementing a strong and iron clad process to ensure all incoming enquiries are dealt with in a slick and controlled manner and instilling behaviours in the sales team to ensure every single enquiry is treated like gold dust.
  • Ensuring the sales team provide an excellent customer experience to all customers as well as being the main point of contact to resolve any customer concerns which may arise within the Sales Department.
  • Negotiating the sale price, including any “trade-in” value for a customer’s part exchange.
  • Ensuring the sales team are equipped and motivated to deliver sales targets and providing coaching and guidance on areas of improvement within the Sales process.
  • Driving growth in volume and profit within the Used Vehicle Sales Department.
  • Driving the importance and quality delivery of prospecting on a regular basis as well as monitoring and managing conversion rates. You will be able to foresee where the next deal is coming from.
  • Working with the Group Head of Used Vehicles to ensure you have the right stock mix and stock turn. Proactively putting strategies in place to deal with overage-stock and understanding stock profiling requirements based on market trends and customer base.
  • Forecasting and being able to strategically respond to changes in the marketplace to maximise business performance.
