A great opportunity has arisen to join a well-established and growing Engineering Consultancy, who are looking for an experienced National Sales Manager to join their team.
The company specialises in engineering services across highly hazardous sectors, including Oil & Gas, Chemical Manufacturing, and Water Treatment. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the company’s national strategy, driving new business, developing key customer relationships, and growing revenue across the UK and related market sectors.

Role of the National Sales Manager:
We are seeking a driven and technically astute National Sales Manager to lead business development across the UK.
You will be responsible for winning new business, managing key accounts, and driving revenue growth by promoting the business bespoke water and wastewater engineering solutions.
Working with UK Water Companies, Tier 1 and Tier 2 Contractors, you will build strong relationships and develop new opportunities across the sector.
Essential Criteria of the National Sales Manager:
- Must have a proven track record in technical accounts, business development, or account management specifically within the UK water treatment or water engineering sector.
- An existing, active network of contacts within UK Water Utilities and Tier 1 construction/engineering contractors.
- A solid understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes, pumping stations, and associated engineered equipment. Ability to hold your own in technical discussions with engineers.
- Demonstrable experience selling complex, engineered solutions (rather than off-the-shelf commodities or purely chemical treatments).
- A full, clean UK driving licence and a willingness to travel extensively across the whole of the UK, including overnight stays when required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related technical discipline
- Direct experience working with or selling into AMP8 (2025–2030) framework agreements
- Familiarity with standard forms of contract (e.g., NEC, JCT) and the tendering process for major infrastructure projects
- Experience using CRM software for pipeline management and forecasting
