Sales Manager
Location: Old Royal Naval College, London
Salary: £45,000 + 10% bonus based on exceeding budget
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday with weekend work required based on events, 42.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop and motivate a sales team of three, including two Sales Coordinators and one Sales Executive, ensuring targets are achieved and exceptional client service is delivered.
- Provide strategic leadership across all sales, marketing and communications activities, driving revenue growth and brand visibility.
- Develop and secure new business opportunities for both internal and external events through proactive networking, client engagement and relationship management.
- Represent the venue within the events industry, building strong connections and generating bookings from key clients and agencies.
- Manage the full sales journey from enquiry to confirmation, ensuring a seamless handover and successful event delivery.
- Drive sales for a diverse portfolio of events, including luxury weddings, corporate gala dinners, award ceremonies, fashion shows and conferences.
- Oversee the administration and coordination of all event bookings, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and a first-class client experience.
- Collaborate closely with operational teams to ensure events are delivered to the highest standards and client expectations are exceeded.
- Monitor sales performance, market trends and competitor activity, implementing strategies to maximise revenue and occupancy.
- Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, reports and business development plans to support commercial objectives.
